ApplyNeo ("we", "our", or "us") provides the ApplyNeo — AI Career Assistant Google Chrome Extension ("Extension"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with the highest security standards in compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.

2. Information We Collect and Process

A. Personal Information You Provide

Contact Information: Full name, email address, phone number, city/location, and LinkedIn profile URL.
Job Preferences: Relocation, sponsorship requirements, target job titles, expected compensation, and top skills.
Resume & Profile: Uploaded PDF or text resume details used to extract skills and bullet points.
Custom Q&A: User-defined answers to job application questionnaires.

B. Application History

When you submit an application, the extension records job title, company name, location, job link, and timestamp. This data is displayed in your local Application Dashboard and can be exported as CSV at any time.

C. Account & Authentication Data

When authenticating via Google OAuth (via chrome.identity), your verified email and user identifier are securely synchronized with our backend (Supabase) to confirm license validity and sync application totals across sessions.

D. AI Configuration

If you choose to use optional AI resume tailoring, your user-supplied API key (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI) is stored in your browser's private local storage. Requests are made directly from your browser to the respective AI provider's TLS endpoints.

3. How We Use Your Information

To autofill job applications on LinkedIn Easy Apply according to your configured preferences.
To optionally tailor resume bullets for specific job descriptions via AI.
To track and display your application metrics and history.
To authenticate and protect your lifetime or pro license.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, lease, or monetize your personal data to any third party, broker, or advertising platform.

All data is processed strictly to execute user-requested actions:

LinkedIn: Runs strictly in your local browser tab to autofill form inputs.
Supabase: Encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and isolated with PostgreSQL Row Level Security (RLS).
AI Models: Prompts are sent only when you enable AI features using your designated provider.

5. Security & Retention

All client-side code is bundled locally with strict Content Security Policy (CSP).
You can purge your local data at any time by clicking "Clear" in the settings or uninstalling the extension.
